Registering to vote has never been easier or more convenient and with the Presidential Primary Election just six months away, Cook County Clerk Karen Yarbrough is encouraging anyone who is not registered to vote to sign up today.

The Clerk’s Office held a rally on National Voter Registration Day September 19 to promote voter registration and raise awareness about registration policies, deadlines, and other basic voting information for Cook County residents.

“Getting registered to vote not only empowers the individual voter, it also benefits our communities and our democracy as a whole,” said Yarbrough. “In just a matter of minutes, you can register to vote and ensure that you will have your voice heard on election day.”

Suburban residents who wish to register can do so online or by mail by visiting the Clerk’s Office website at cookcountyclerk.com/RTV. Residents can also register in person at a Cook County Clerk’s office location, at the office of their local town or village Clerk, or at an Illinois Secretary of State driver’s facility.
